What is a Power Transformer?
Power transformers are defined as a transformer that transfers electric energy in any part of the circuit between the generator and the distribution primary circuits (IEEE C57.12.80). Transformers are utilized in distribution networks to interface step down and step up voltages. Power transformers can be divided into three types according to the ranges: large power transformers, medium power transformers, and small power transformers.
